Hello, I’m Micaela, a lover of the great outdoors and a passionate gardener. I first caught the gardening bug from my grandmother who was a devoted green thumb. The sensory experience of exploring that space has stayed with me throughout my life. Gardening became my ‘therapy.’ Even as a young 20-something, renting here and abroad, a house was never a home until I established a garden I could work in.
I spent the better part of a decade overseas working in the corporate world, but I was always focused on a career in garden design. When I arrived back to Melbourne, I enrolled in a Diploma of Landscape Design. In my final year, I was selected to represent my TAFE at the Melbourne Flower and Garden Show, designing a garden which was displayed in the Achievable Gardens division. This division is always hugely popular with those who attend as it showcases new design thinking and accessible ideas that most people could implement in their own gardens.
